As France Moves Toward Legalizing Same Sex Marriage, Huge Crowds Disagree

Same-sex marriage is being debated in France too, as the country’s government moves to legalize it.

President François Hollande promised he would help officialize it when he was elected last year.

Vivienne Walt, who writes for Time Magazine in Paris, says even though French public opinion is strongly in favor of gay marriage, there have been massive demonstrations against it over the past few months in the French capital.
