There’s a new kind of bossa nova coming from the group BossaCucaNova

BossaCucaNova

BossaCucaNova is the band, and while the name sounds very Brazilian, it doesn't really mean anything. It's just a fun word.

The group was founded 15 years ago by Marcio Menescal, the son of Roberto Menescal, who is one of the founders of bossa nova.

BossaCucaNova says its aim is to modernize and refresh bossa nova with new beats and ideas.

The band's new album is called "Our Kind of Bossa" and it samples some Brazilian classics and adds some tasty twists. It also has a great guest list of performers.

This video features Cris Delanno on vocals.
