Stephen Snyder

Senior Producer

Stephen Snyder handles promotion and station relations from the newsroom of PRI’s “The World.” He crafts daily 30-second spots about upcoming broadcasts and short fundraising messages that assist public radio stations during semi-annual pledge drives. He also serves as “the voice” for “The World’s” sponsor credits throughout the program. Additionally, he pinch-hits as director and assistant director for the broadcast.

Snyder joined the staff of “The World” in 1998. He served as senior producer of public radio’s “Sound & Spirit” from 1995-1998. From 1989-1995 he produced the Peabody Award-winning children’s news program “Kid Company” on WBZ in Boston.

Stephen Snyder turned to radio after a long career as a musician, composer, record producer, and music director for theater.
