Cambodia’s government shuts down last independent news outlet

The Cambodian government has shut down the country’s last remaining independent news organization, the Voice of Democracy, this week. The organization was accused by long-time Prime Minister Hun Sen of coverage that slandered his son. Ashley Westerman reports that, for the nearly 40 years of the strongman’s rule, freedom of speech and the press have been under threat.
